Five Stitches Later...

And I can't convince my mom to drive me back to school so I can make it to my genetics lab. Parents, they just don't understand.

But in all honesty my mom has been great. She drove me to the dentist this morning, waited while I got the surgery, and got me a milkshake afterwards. She's the best!

The surgery on the other hand, was not so great. I got all numbed up (I couldn't even feel my eye) and when they started all I heard was my gum ripping. I could taste the blood and feel the pressure but the worst part was hearing the tearing of my gum tissue. One of my favorite parts was when the dentist told me this was going to be a lot easier than he thought it would be. Oh thats good, because when you first walked in, looked at my X-ray, and put your hand over your mouth while telling me this is extremely rare, I was a little concerned. Apparently I have four roots, not two. All in all everything went well and fast, too. I have five stitches and am not allowed to eat until 1pm.

So here I sit with my face pressed against the side of the couch and an ice pack sandwiched in between. I needed both hands to type...there was a picture but I can't force myself to post it.

I would say 9/10 people I've talked to hate dentists. Do you? Why does everyone hate the dentist so much? I know my reasons but I'm very curious for other's reasons.

Glad you got rid of that nasty tooth :)

It's past one o'clock, so I hope you've had food.

Carol - It feels so much better. I ate as soon as I could feel my face again.

Alex - That is probably one of my least favorite parts as well, its a creepy sound.
