Happy National Pi Day!

For all of you non-nerds, today is National Pi Day (3/14).

I think I'm getting a severe case of writer's block. Thinking about topics and once there is a topic being able to elaborate on it just isn't happening for me recently. Although I have been rather stressed lately, with getting my genetics exam and genetics lab practical back today, along with a midterm tomorrow and a biochemistry exam next Tuesday. I blew my all A's streak. In my favorite class too. The disappointment I feel right now, and the embarrassment, is so overwhelming.

Any advice on the writer's block?

All A's, that's impressive. Don't beat yourself up about it though. Have you ever tried writing as soon as you wake in the morning? I've heard that can help with getting your flow back. I've been doing it myself as part of my course, some of the stuff I've written is a little mad, I'm clearly not a morning person!

Don't let one bad (and I'm sure it's not even that bad) get you down!! Everyone needs something to improve on. You are such a smart and beautiful person we love reading about whatever you type, but I must say, those pictures of your nephew are just adorable! I could look at them anytime!!

Anna - Thanks for the advice! That's a really good idea, and I'm pretty sure my morning writings will be on the same madness level. Also a good way to wake up.

Anonymous - Thank you for that :) I do tend to overreact about a bad grade. I'll be sure to post more pictures of my nephew as well!

When we are stressed out, writing comes across as forced, if at all. Anna has some good advice. I eliminate the stress factors if at all possible. Once I am breathing a sigh of relief, the writing is fine.

As far as the all A's, don't let it get you down. I made straight A's in college save for one B in my best class, Business Speech. Initially, I was depressed. But then I looked on it as a sign of humility.

Too, I still graduated summa cum laude, so no worries.

Wow that is impressive. I know how hard you had to work to get all A's, that's absolutely amazing. Thanks for the advice!

Finding prompts, either in picture or word form, can help get rid of the block. I'm sorry about the grade, but that may be something you can pull back up by finals. Even if it isn't, don't beat yourself up.
